Great Service

My salesman Shane was easy to work with. I called ahead and told Jennifer what I was looking for. They had a truck ready to show me that was exactly what I was looking for. I hadn’t even seen it online.

Very easy to do business with

I will comment after I find out how they are going to handle the issues that I am having with the transmission they put in. I had trouble with the transmission in this 2015 Silverado when it was new and they said that they couldn't find anything wrong with it. The transmission finely went out and they put a rebuilt one in (from Mexico) Now, I am suggesting that they take it the Steinmetz Automotive in Jefferson City. I guess we will see.

My experience was excellent. Flew in from out of state and they picked us up from the airport on time and with an amazing driver Jim. Our truck and our salesman ( Shane B.) was ready and waiting for us!

Adam was really helpful, not pushy, answered all our questions. It went well.

They picked up my car and brought it back timely. To save me an extra service charge for using credit card they brought car back and allowed me to go to leadership and write a check.

The experience was surprisingly smooth & good Steve Boeckmann was very helpful knowledgable taking my mother in law there next weekend to get her a new car also

We paid for the plan to cover oil and lube jobs. So you all should have that on our account. 1st time they wanted to charge us. After awhile of looking up our contract they found that it was part of what we paid for. This time same thing two guys were scrolling through our account again to find it. Wouldn't it just be easy to put it in our account. No charge. We were stupid with our last car. We had paid for free oil and lube but we forgot that and were charged when we had them done. So this time we are aware what we.paid for.

Adam Monroe does an absolutely amazing job! He was been our sales man for the last two vehicles that we have purchased! He is extremely knowledgeable, super kind, and truly wants what is best for his customers. He makes the process of buying a vehicle smooth and stress free! Excellent customer service and communication

Brought my vehicle in for oil change I assume that was done. However the multipoint inspection is a joke, vehicle had a low tire light on when I brought it in everything checked off good didn’t even check air in tires.. I assume nothing else checked either. You need some quality control measures in place and check up on your service techs. Not impressed

Kent was great to work with, he thoroughly went through everything about my truck, which was great since I retired from the Claycomo Ford Assembly Plant and have only driven Fords for the last 30 years.

Trying to get warranty work done ,was very disappointed.My new Silverado had electrical issues and I was told it was normal,after taking it back a couple times I was told they couldn’t fix it. The issue was a safety issue to me so I went to Bulter main management and first thing he told me with an attitude there was no such thing as a bumper to bumper warranty,but when I bought the new Silverado it had a bumper to bumper warranty. I finally got the truck fixed for now but I will think seriously about trading there again.

Adam was good to work with however the car wasnt cleaned up when we picked it up-couldnt hardly see out of the windshield. One other thing-it was requested that the car be delivered to us at our home-as our last one had been-that didnt happen

I have been buying vehicles for over 35 years at this dealership. Although there are multiple dealerships much closer to home, we drive 30+ miles to buy and service our cars at Jim Butler, Linn. John Kraus is the person we trust for a professional transaction and service after the sale. John takes the time to listen to what we need and he makes sure that our needs are met. He also takes the time to fully explain the features of the vehicle immediately after the sale!

We have been looking for a new/used vehicle for a while and had contacted many different dealers. Brian at Jim Butler was by far the best! He went above and beyond my expectations. He spent a lot of time helping me set up and program the dash and explained what everything did. He was very knowledgeable of the vehicle. He was not pushy as many are at car dealers. When we would get back from a test drive he would ask us what we thought but never mentioned looking at numbers as other have with us, he would always leave us alone for a few minutes to discuss our thoughts and didn't try to change our minds on which vehicle to buy. Although it is over a 2 hour drive from our house and we drove past several other Chevy dealers, we would go back to Brian at Jim Butler for our next vehicle!

I came across Jim Butler’s vehicle via autotrader and inquired about the vehicle and they reached out to me the following day. I had the pleasure of dealing with Adam in which he was very patient because we were having to do most of the deal by text message. He answered all the questions I had and we agreed upon a price in which made both of us satisfied. I then spoke with Heath on the financing options and it was a very smooth process as well. Overall I’m very pleased on how they handled the sale so if you are looking to buy a vehicle at least give them a chance.

It was a long service time due to the nature of the recall but was kept informed, offered a car, and was treated like a valued customer.

The service was good. But, it took almost 2 hrs to do a simple service as a oil change. That is not good.

I spoke with five different people to schedule service and obtain pricing for tires, yet when I arrived for my scheduled appointment, I was told that no appointment existed in the system. I was then informed the vehicle would be completed the next day. When I called later that afternoon to request an update so I could arrange transportation, I had to call three times and was repeatedly told someone else would have the information, only to be transferred in a cycle without receiving an answer. I ultimately had to contact a supervisor directly to get an update. Attempting to have service performed at this dealership has been extremely difficult and has made me regret purchasing a vehicle here. The only reason I continue to return is due to the warranty I purchased with the truck

The service technician that helped my mom was extremely nice and polite! My mom had to wait a little over an hour for a scheduled oil change, which isn’t too bad, and he apologized for her wait.

Fast and Friendly

Had vehicle for 2 1/2 months. First time did not get fixed correctly and had to take it back. Got car back smelling like weed and both time had cigarette butts in the floorboard.

They found exactly what I was looking for and beat anyone else’s offers

It was a great experience! Lots of trucks to choose from which is why I went there, and found the perfect truck for me. Shane did amazing while talking about each truck I looked and did it without talking over my head (thanks for that!). Working through the finance was super easy, and the financier patiently talked me through those pesky questions I like to ask. Ultimately great experience and I would recommend this dealership and Shane to anyone who is looking for a great truck and a good buying experience.

Service agent was professional and informative

I had a scheduled oil change and tire rotation. I asked them specifically NOT to fix the tire pressure sensor because of the price. It took them 2 hours and 15 minutes to finish with my car. They fixed one tire sensor that I said not to fix and now none of my tire pressure sensors work. I had to pay for the sensor that they fixed but left with none working. I don't know that I will ever return to Butler or when looking for a new vehicle will I go there again.

Need to be able to get in sooner for oil changes. Took 5 weeks and I live in rural area and drive 60 miles a day. Predicting a month out how many miles I may drive is hard.

My concerns with my truck was disregarded and I was told my truck had no issues and then it was towed back to dealership with in nine days and I was told I would have to pay 21,066.49 for repairs to fuel system due to fuel containment issues and apparently they will not warranty it even though I have extended warranty and it has 34,000 miles . It never showed a code on truck and apparently that system is faulty due to the fuel pumps corrosion that containment my fuel. And it's the same fuel that was in it on Sept 18 to Sept 30 . 60 gallons. Another truck is in their shop with the same issues and they apparently are warranty it because that customer buys a truck every other year.

Great easy transaction

I always receive excellent service from Jim Butler Chevrolet in Linn Mo. I have been a loyal customer for MANY years.

The problem wasn’t fixed and more parts had to be ordered and if they would have taken the time to look they would have been able to figure that out. They don’t answer the phone they don’t call back and with a brand new vehicle I cannot believe the issues we are having

I like coming here for service. The only problem was the tech put the wrong oil viscosity on the window sticker which made me question what oil he added. I asked and was told he forgot to change it on the machine that prints the sticker.

He went far above and beyond our expectations as a salesman, which is why we bought with him again. Our new truck is fabulous and Tony walked us through the ordering process, answered so many questions along the way, and kept us updated the entire time we waited for Sterling to arrive.

I came to Jim Bulter for an oil change, etc and I was having battery problems. The service went well and they solved my battery problem . They found a penny underneath the auto window roll up and it was causing the motor to run continuously and eventually run my battery down. I found it exception that they solve my problem!! Had truck for 30,000 mile service and back tires. Appointment was scheduled but took 3 1/2 days. Also had to pay for new wheel which was factory fault.

I completed this purchase entirely over the phone. Had great communication through determining options, negotiations and delivery.

Oil change great. Tire rotation, ok. I need to bring the car back in because I’m now getting a Service Tire Monitoring system error. My big issue though is that I’ve brought the car in several times for a transmission issue that I keep getting told that there’s nothing wrong with. The transmission slips between gears and because no one at the dealership can regenerate the issue I’m just being told there isn’t anything wrong with it. I’ve tried to show a video before but was told that would not be necessary. It would have been a 5 star review if I only would not get the runaround.

Set up an appointment for 1pm to sign paper work took until 2pm to see finance manager. Was asked to wait in lobby as sales man had another appointment.

Lack of communication that service was complete and how much the invoice was. Did not complete multi point inspection- air filter indicator showing around 35% before and after service but nothing said so was it checked??

2024 Silverado LTZ 6.2 recall 15,000 mile completed with no issues.

When I pulled up to the service bay sat there for 20 minutes and the car in front of me never got moved. Finally someone did come out to take my information. I was scheduled for an oil change and a tire rotation. Pretty sure I did not get my tires rotated because I had a low tire code which was showing up and when I got in my car to leave after my service, I still had the same code on the same tire. Although I did get charged for a tire rotation

I worked with Shane and he was exceptional. The sale and financial experience was good. However, within two days of my purchase the radio, apple carplay and dash electronics failed. NOT GOOD! I had to spend more of my time, gas, money, to return to the dealer to get what I feel is a temporary fix for this problem. If I have further problems, I will explore legal resolution to a problem that GM knows it has.

Great to deal with, I had dash lights come on during a trip and OnStar connected me with them. I pulled into their shop once home and they went over the truck very throughly. I appreciated the service and especially how quick they were.

Service writer did great, the repairs took longer than it should have because GM sent a faulty part. I don’t fault your people. I spoke with the service manager and he said he’ll look into GM getting me points for compensation for having to take time off to keep coming down for the repair. I believe it’s the least you all could do. It was an inconvenience to do so. Again, I understand it was GM’s part that was faulty, but I would like you all to do something. Thanks

The service was good and the people were very nice, and they got my car repaired correctly and timely, but I believe that a bill for $447.49 is a little excessive to change 2 headlight bulbs on a chevy cruze !

Went has scheduled

I didn't have my vehicle serviced on 2/27/26. Also, have a check engine light that keeps coming on for emissions issues and being told Chevrolet knows there's an issue but just doesn't know how to fix it. This is a 2026 Equinox how can you not know how to fix it

Listed a fair price online and honored that price during visit. No games or tricks. Thats the only kind of place I'll buy from.

Customer service is excellent and was relatively pretty quick to do an oil change and tire rotation (about an hour). My only disappointment was when I went to get in my white truck, there was oil fingerprints on the door and all over my steering wheel (everything that a driver would touch had oil on it! I was not too happy with that and mentioned it to the service gentleman and he said they (the mechanic) are supposed to wear gloves, they may wear them but don't take them off to transport the vehicle back to the service bay. So that is my only complaint about my experience.Great people to work with!

This is my second attempt to have issues repaired with my radio and phone connection with Apple Carplay. Total waste of time. There are known problems that GM cannot repair and I was told by one of the service personnel that there is NO permanent repair for the problem. This is a big problem.

Dealership experience was excellent from salesman to finance manager. Very friendly and made purchasing smooth. PDI clean up needs some work, truck was still dirty, windows had not been cleaned, and marker lines still on wheel.

They got me matched up with a salesman same day I requested a visit. Had the car that I was interested ready to go when I got there. Salesman was knowledgeable and friendly. No pressure. Helped me make an offer and made me comfortable through the whole process. The whole team was accommodating to my schedule and worked with me to make my purchase happen on my terms and timeline.

My air filter warning was on Found out I kept a rag under hood for checking oil It was blocking air vent which caused the issue You had to hook up diagnostic to figure that out. And then charge me 229$ what a rip off. I also asked the service tech to look at tailgate button which I have to push twice every time I want to open it I also had this fixed previously He said that’s common. More bullshit I will never purchase a vehicle from Jim Butler again!!!

This vehicle has a steering issue. the first visit ended with no help at all. After speaking to the service manager he determined there is a issue and made adjustments and the issue is better. There is still something not right with the steering. Waiting on GM fix

The inventory of vehicles brought me into the dealership. I wanted to be able to see differences in person and this dealership had plenty of variety. Everything went as smooth as possible throughout the whole process of buying a new truck.

On April 7th 2026, I had an appointment at Jim Butler Chevrolet service Department for an oil change, tire rotation, and tire repair, my appointment was at 8:30 am so we dropped the car off the evening before during service hours. On the 7th we went to pick up the car after work at approximately 4:30 pm, the car was not ready and I ended up staying until 5:30 pm before it was finished. I'm sorry but this is unacceptable. Don't make appointments if you are not going to honor the appointment time.

The team from Jim Butler picked up my Traverse at my office, provided the service and returned it in a timely manner.

They took me in as soon as I arrived. They completed the service and came to the waiting room to get me. They were polite and treated me very nice.

No heckling

Had an appointment for 9, just an oil change took 2.25 hrs to complete. They worked me in after having an appointment. I do have confirmation text from Jim butler confirming my appointment at 9. I will not be back!

Communication was not the best I had to call several times to get any updates
